Monster Day 2026 Costume Contest | 3:00 PM
Want your shot at the $2,000 prize pool? Here’s how to enter, compete, and win:
1. Be Seen to Be Selected (2:00 PM – 2:30 PM)
Monster Day judges will roam the 9th Street Plaza hunting for top-tier talent. If they love your look, they’ll hand you an official Entry Badge. There is no pre-registration—you have to get spotted!
2. Report for Staging (2:30 PM – 2:55 PM)
Scored a badge? Head straight to the staging area at northeast edge of the 9th Street Plaza (near Doug’s Day Diner). We’ll collect your info, line you up, and judges will take a closer look at your craftsmanship before showtime.
3. Own the Main Stage!
Contestants will take the stage one at a time. You’ll have up to 20 seconds to strut, spin, roar, or pose to impress the judges.
(Note: Stage access requires two steps up and two steps down. Let us know if you need accommodations—we are happy to help!)

-
Be spooky, be respectful, and most of all, have fun!
Here’s how it works:
- Be seen to be selected.
- From 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Monster Day staff will be roaming the 9th Street plaza, watching for killer costumes. If your look slays (in the best way), you’ll be handed an entry badge.
- No badge, no contest. So bring your A-game and be visible, everyone will be welcome to join the Monster Day Parade.
- Badge in hand? Head to the alley.
- If selected, report to the brick wall in the alley east of the main stage by 2:30 p.m. for lineup. Judges may want a closer peek before you hit the stage.
- Show us what you’ve got.
- After the parade, you’ll take to the main stage for your moment in the monster spotlight. You’ll get up to 20 seconds to impress: strut, roar, pose, twirl—whatever shows off your creature’s character.
- Need accommodations for stage access? No worries—we’ve got you covered. Let us know in advance and we’ll ensure you’re in the spotlight, with or without the steps.
